Reflection  

This module was very important to me because it taught us various drawing basic skills for architecture such as hatching, architecture lettering and line weight. Similar to AD1, this module also often offers physical lectures and tutorials. Not only that, the lecturers also provided numerous tutorial videos and recorded lectures that were available in "MyTimes" which we can access all the time and I actually find it very helpful.

In the beginning of the semester, we were tasked to do four tutorial  exercises to teach us the basic skills that we needed for architecture. It consists of self expression using geometric shapes, hatching techniques, architecture lettering, and scale and coloring. All of those exercises are essential for us students since most of our projects later on will require those skillset. After I was done with all of my exercises, I felt that it actually really helped me for my projects during this semester and I was glad that the lecturers assigned us this tutorial exercises with a clear guidance.

For our very first project, it was to produce a movie poster. At first I was quite baffled with the idea of architecture students being tasked to make a movie poster which has nothing to do with architecture, but turns out it required us to utilize coloring media, architecture lettering, and the drawing of man made things such as buildings which were useful in honing our skills to be a better architecture student.

As for the second project, we need to produce different drawings of Farnsworth House. I find this assignment quite challenging since we have to draw and scale it precisely. As a consequence of that, some of us had to redo our drawings during the process because we failed to measure it precisely. In order to complete this project, we had to have a lot of patience paired with precision, and as a result, I managed to submit it on time.

Last but not least, the final project. This project was indeed interesting because it was a collaboration project with AD1. When I was trying to finish this project, I find myself very pressured and stressed because this project holds a lot of mark especially for AD1. We have to produce four A1 presentation boards filled with the drawings of our model and of course it was not easy. However with the support of my friends and families, I managed to finish it on time. At the end of this project, I realized that I have grown mentally stronger and durable because I was able to complete my work despite all the breakdowns and heavy workload.
